“The Crystals.” topped charts with their million selling hits, “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “He’s A Rebel,” and “Then he Kissed Me,” being one of their most popular recordings. Original member Dee Dee Kenniebrew along with Marcella Matthews and Gretchen Gale are “The Crystals.” As one of the top female DooWop groups from the sixties, The Crystals were apart of the PBS special, Doo Wop 51 and have appeared in venues all across the country and abroad.
